Early in 2009 the Wolstenholme designed 30ft Owner's Launch beautifully built by Henwood and Dean was handed over to her client in readiness for the completion of the restoration of the mothership, a magnificent 1930s steamyacht. Whilst having the look of a classic varnished timber launch this boat was built using modern techniques and utilising the benefits of CADCAM. Her air conditioned saloon seats ten guests and she is capable of speeds of up to 17knots.
The image above is of a preliminary design for a limousine tender and sister speedboat speculatively produced at the request of Cockwells. These designs could be produced in composite or using modern timber/epoxy techniques, and would be suitable for shaft drive, outdrive, or waterjet propulsion.
